What began as a small Shabbos-only minyan has blossomed into a vibrant מקדש מעט , filled daily with the sounds of Torah and tefillah. Today, Bais Medrash of Flair hosts daily minyanim, morning and evening kollelim, regular shiurim, and Shabbos chaburos that span a wide range of limudim; from sugyos b’iyun and halacha to mussar and Chofetz Chaim. Our kehillah has become a place where simchos are celebrated together, Yomim Tovim uplifted, and deep friendships built through Torah and shared purpose.
From those early days in a modest basement space, the community has more than tripled in size. Boruch Hashem, the kol Torah has grown louder and our current space can no longer meet the needs of a flourishing kehillah. On Shabbos and Yomim Nora’im, the crowd often exceeds capacity, and throughout the week, the demand for space for learning and tefillah continues to grow.
Now, we are ready to take the next step.
We are preparing to build a permanent home for Bais Medrash of Flair; a makom kadosh where Torah and tefillah will continue to thrive, where families will gather to celebrate milestones, and where future generations will be nurtured in a vibrant, Torah-centered environment.

Bais Medrash of Flair was established in the spring of 2017, alongside the founding of the frum community in Flair, Jackson. A small group of dedicated families came together with a shared goal: to create a makom tefillah that would reflect their values—warmth, sincerity, and a strong commitment to Torah and ruchniyus.
From the outset, the guidance and leadership of Rav Eliyahu Meir Schmelczer שליט“א have been central to the growth and development of the kehillah. With clarity, warmth, and unwavering dedication, the Rav has shaped the direction of the shul, delivering impactful shiurim, offering personal guidance, and being available to every individual and family.
